Common Questions


Q: What equipment do I need?
A: BMFA can loan Helmets & Shoulder Pads where available.  Players are responsible for supplying the rest.  BMFA may have some for sale while available, click What equipment do I need to Play Football link above for detailed description.

Q: When does the season start?
A:  Spring opening weekend is usually May 20th weekend and Championship is end of July weekend for PW/Atom.  Bantam/JV/VAR start May 26th and Championship is Aug. 11.  Fall opening weekend usually weeknd after Labour Day.
A:  Indoor Training starts end of Feb and Outdoor practices start Mid to Late April depending on field availability.

Q: When do we get Equipment?
A: As we go outdoors for practice, Equipment Handouts will be made to fully registered and paid players.  A deposit cash and credit card is required.  There is a non refundable $100 fee for Equipment Loan for the season.

Q: What are refund policies?
A:  We have a no refund policy but will consider any refund requests on discretionary basis case by case.  At minimum $200, admin fees will be withheld for any refund requests made.  Medical refunds will receive full credit for upcoming season with Doctor's note.

Q: How long is the Season?
A: Regular season at PW/Atom is 6 Game, home and away.  Bantam/JV/Varsity is 6-8 game season.  Our home games are usually at Ching Park Stadium.  Away games are scheduled by the opposing team.  Games are usually Saturday or Sunday but can be rarely on Friday nights for older teams.

Q: Are there costs during Season
A: Gate Fees are charged for all our Home Games and most Teams we play against.  Typically $5 for Adults.

Q: Where and when are practices?
A: Spring and early Fall practices are at Turner Fenton High School Tues/Thurs - 6:30-8:30pm
